Real Estate Appraisal in Serbia – Current Situation and Development Trends

The procedure for appraisal of market value of real estates in Serbia became relevant the moment a banking product – mortgage loan, became massive and widely acepted way for the citizens to resolve their housing problems. Before that, real estate appraisal was carried out for the purposes of accounting, lawsuits, privatization and bankruptcy. Also, a special form of real estate appraisals was carried out for the needs of government agencies, such as tax administration and real estate registry.
